This is the home page for the Estrela
Web Ring, a ring that links together web pages about Cão da Serra da Estrela dogs.
The Estrela Web Ring has been started in order to promote web sites that deal with
Cão da Serra da Estrela dogs, and the people who own and love them.
It haven´t found any existing Web Ring on the Cão da Serra da Estrela dogs,
this is why I have decided to create it.
I hope Cão da Serra da Estrela lovers will like this idea and will join it soon!
Please note that this ring is only
for pages and sites that are about Cão da Serra da Estrela dogs.
What is a WebRing?
A web ring is a way to group sites with
similar content by linking them together in a circle, or ring. The idea is that once a
visitor is at one site in the web ring, they can click on a "Next" or
"Previous" or "Random" link to go to adjacent sites in the ring and
-if they do it long enough - end up where they started. Each site in a specific web ring
displays identical code and graphics to facilitiate ring surfing.
How to Join the Ring
Here are the steps that need to be
followed in order to join
the Cão da Serra da Estrela Web Ring. Please follow them closely to preserve the integrity of the ring!
You must download the two graphics you
see below. You must place the graphics at your own provider. You may NOT link to
the graphic on this server!

Fill out this form to register
your site and write down the Site ID number you are assigned. This will put your page
in the Estrela Web Ring Queue , where it will remain until Linda, the Ringmaster, adds you
to the ring. The URL you'll submit must be the page where the ring will appear (don't link
to your homepage if it is not there).
When you register, you will receive, by
e-mail, the HTML code you will need to put in your page. This code will already contain
all necessary changes. You will also have an Identification Number that you will use to
change your registration in case of need. If for some reason you have trouble with the emailed code, go here.
E-mail Linda at akaroa@telia.com and ask to be added to the ring. Be
sure to include your Site ID Number in the e-mail message. Linda will look at your
page to make sure it is worthy of addition and make sure the Estrela Web Ring HTML
fragment on your page is okay. So please make sure that you have added the HTML fragment
to your page before you e-mail Linda. Thanks!
After checking out your page, Linda will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to
the ring. You will then receive an e-mail telling you've been added.
If you are on AOL: please read this information before
proceeding.
Important note! Your site will be in
the "queue" for 10 days. After that time, if you don't added the Cão da Serra
da Estrela Web Ring HTML code on your site, you'll be automatically removed and you'll
have to reapply.
